When there is a demand of longitudinal stock the best possible solution is the Longitudinal Stacker. The concept is the use of two belt conveyors and a mobile steel structure. The longitudinal belt conveyor is stationary except part of the belt its self which is moving with the mobile structure and performs the tripping motion. The second belt conveyor moves along with the mobile structure and performs the stacking. This philosophy may be performed in extreme lengths (even up to kilometres). This equipment may be categorised in simple stacker, in stacker with the ability the stacking conveyor to change angle, in stacker with the ability the stacking conveyor to rotate in plan view by 180 degrees in order the stacking ability to be double. Also we can combine all these three cases and create the fully automated stacker. The mobile steel platform moves with the aid of special heat treated steel wheels on top of rail beams perfectly aligned. Special wheels, shaft wheels, heavy duty bearings, several sensing equipment (belt misalignment, pull rope switches, rotation sensors, analogical or digital instrument of measuring the pile, terminal sensors), planetary geared motors for moving, counterweights and plenty more sophisticated equipment provide reliable and safe operation.
